Croatia Photo of the Day: Dubrovnik Cafe Culture

Cafe Culture is alive and well in Croatia, and certainly in Dubrovnik where the views from the top are out of this world!  For more on the Cable Car to the top of Mt Srd – visit Riding the Dubrovnik Cable Car.   Wine and views from the Panorama restaurant.

Take the cable car or gondola up to the top of Srd Hill for some amazing views!  They offered a nice menu – but really, a glass of rose and the view was all that I needed!

Couldn’t help but snap this shot as the cable car started to rise – parasailing outside the UNESCO World Heritage Site – wonder if I can squeeze it in!

After a fantastic day of touristing  – time to find somewhere to eat.  Wanda’s in the walled city was quite good for dinner.  It was packed with the dinner crowd.

  1. I visited Dubrovnik last September, the old city is amazing. It is a cruise ship stop so some days were packed with people, evenings were beautiful and warm it was wonderful to sit out in the cafes and people watch.

    • I have heard that tomorrow is a big cruise ship day. Luckily, I have been here for a few brilliant days with moderate crowds. A local warned me that Saturday will be nuts! I have absolutely loved the city and am thrilled I was here without the crazy crowds, even if it is the tail end of August! Mind you, the walls swell with people when the tour buses start arriving! Guess if you don’t like crowds, it is not a good place, but if you can handle them – Wow – Dubrovnik will knock your socks off! So thrilled to have made a stop here!
