Photo Challenge: travel by the alphabet

Travel By The Alphabet: H

H is for

Hobart – it has been a while since I have visited this charming city in Tasmania, Australia.  This bridge which crosses the Derwent River, is an essential part of life in Hobart.  In 1975, this bridge featured in the Tasman Bridge Collapse – literally cutting off half the city.  Love this night time view!

Halifax – the finishing point on my solo cycling journey across Canada.  It was a proud yet anti-climactic moment as my 6400+ km bike ride came to an end!  Dipping my wheel in the Atlantic – what a ride!

cycling across Canada

Havana, Cuba – love the vibrant colours on a tour of downtown Havana.   While I stayed at an all-inclusive in Varadero, it was great to get out and experience Havana.

Hunter Valley – When I lived in Australia, I really took the Hunter for granted.  Coming back for a vacation – it was great to get out and experience it!  We booked in at a hotel, enjoyed the amazing wine and food, and mingled with the other “guests” out for an evening stroll!

Of course, the Hunter Valley is also famous for amazing wines!

Travel by the letter H – brings back some great memories!  What about you?  Favourite “H” travels?  Would love to see where you have been – add a link in the comments section.
