Taking time at Hog’s Back Falls

I recently posted about Slowing Down to Hear The Music.  It got me thinking about photos I had planned to take and how quickly the season is melting away from winter to spring.  Wanted to go out and get these shots for some time now…so, grabbing my camera and tripod – here are the results….

As you can see, the ice is starting to crumble at the Hog’s Back Falls.

Love the bear paw appearance of the ice over the water in the lower falls.

Couldn’t help but take a shot of the gearing for the lock over the Rideau Canal.

While I was a little rushed getting out there, glad I took the time to play with the camera.  Will have to come back in the spring when the water is at its highest after the winter thaw.
