A weekend in St John’s Newfoundland at a work conference – a few more photos from the rock. I recently posted about a weekend in Newfoundland. Great place to visit a weekend definitely not enough. Here are a few more images from the weekend.
Spent a little time photographing at the wharf, downtown St John’s. Here are some of my favourites:
Headed out to a few fishing villages.
The small town of Quidi Vidi was gorgeous. Could have spent more time there. I understand the brewery tour is worth doing too!
Needless to say, I managed to get a few nice shots from Signal Hill and the hike to the top.
As we were walking along the coast, we could see boats heading out of the harbour.
Really loved the views from the top. We had a great hike in, but as you can see, the weather was really starting to come in fast! In fact, even taking the most direct route to the bottom, we got hit with rain as we walked back to our hotel!
2012 marks the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic.
Newfoundland, St John’s and the fishing villages all around the region are quite gorgeous. I could have spent a week photographing the area, but sadly, a weekend was all I had! Hope to make it back to Gros Morne National Park next, or some kayaking with the icebergs!
