This week, the WordPress Photo Challenge is Geometry – looking at lines and rhythm in daily life. I have taken examples from architecture from around the world.
One of the examples I love of lines and rhythm comes from Antoni Gaudi – a modernist architect who used lines and rhythm to dramatic effect. I especially love his work at the Casa Battlo in Barcelona.
From Prague – the lines on the rooftop from the bell tower at St Vitus Cathedral
The world famous Eiffel Tower – a geometric masterpiece.
The Sydney Opera House – an example of symmetry and geometry.
And completing the series, the lines of old and new merging in reflection. Parliament Hill, Ottawa.

ABFAB!
Cheers & peace!
Thanks!

Great photos for the challenge. I especially love Gaudi’s Casa Battlo.
Gaudi is pretty awesome! Loved touring the house. Hope to get back to Barcelona to see more of his works.
thanks. He was fun to photograph. Walking through the Batllo house was a pretty cool experience.
I’m really hoping to see all the Gaudi sculptures when I go to Spain next summer!
